Organs of UAAA HACDT

Board of Trustees ( BoT )

The Board of Trustees (BoT) oversees the management and administration of the Trust through the Management and Advisory Committees, supported by the Secretariat Staff. Its members are drawn from Ugama Ekede, Ayama Ekede, Asukama, and AsukOyet communities. Trustees serve a four-year term, renewable for another four years based on performance evaluation and regulatory approval. The Board comprises accomplished individuals from diverse backgrounds, with a Chairman presiding over proceedings and a Secretary appointed by the Settlor

Management Committee

The Management Committee (ManCom) is appointed by the Board and serves as the operational arm of the Trust, overseeing its general administration. It comprises both executive and non-executive members, with the executive members being seasoned professionals who bring valuable expertise to the HCDT. Committed to their responsibilities, the UAAA HCDT ManCom prioritizes transparency and inclusiveness in all its operations.

Advisory Committee

The Host Community Advisory Committee (AC) is established by the Management Committee and comprises four members, each representing Ugama Ekede, Ayama Ekede, Asukama, and Asukoyet Host Communities. As the closest body to the people, the AC works closely with the communities to identify and articulate development projects, which it submits to the ManCom for implementation, subject to Board approval. Additionally, it monitors and reports on project progress. These projects are guided by a five-year Community Development Plan (CDP), a strategic document outlining the communities’ development priorities, developed through a participatory Community Needs Assessment facilitated by the Settlor.
